Wondershare Inspire Campaign | Brand Identity Design
Project Introduction
In 2018, Wondershare Technology Inc had just gone public on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and the company was growing rapidly. Attracting and maintaining talent during a period of unprecedented company growth had become a major focus point for Wondershare’s cultural development strategy. The requirements of this project included the design of a Brand Identity for use throughout the company across a variety of touchpoints ranging from:
LinkedIn and Glassdoor page updates, with new branding across the board.
Employee appreciation kits for recognizing current employees and on-boarding new arrivals.
Brand launch video, highlighting employees within the company using the new branding.
Designing the Employer Branding Experience
Through quick, iterative explorations as well as exercises to gain insight from the internal team as to their own perspective on what it means to work at Wondershare, the word INSPIRE. was chosen for our campaign slogan. INSPIRE is a call to action appealing to the inner creative in all of us. A gradient of expressive colours was also used in certain formats to symbolize the diversity and acceptance of our employees.
I was given a lead role on this project, working on both the design and production. This was an amazing opportunity to have a hand in both the creation of designs at each touch-point, as well as to coordinate with local production houses (Great little Box Company, Lundy Print Co, True North Screen Printing, Greystone, MadeInPrint) to craft something truly special for over 75 current and future employees. In doing so I gained valuable experience in fulfilling a leadership role, managing budgets and timelines as well as bringing a large-scale creative vision from concept to reality alongside talented designers.
Results
The results have set a design standard for Wondershare’s public visibility. Having a strong, outward-facing employer identity has allowed the company to better represent itself in attracting new talent and partnerships, growing to its highest employee count to date. The campaign was expanded to our offices in China, where the same visuals and messaging were used to INSPIRE hundreds of new and existing employees at the offices in Shenzhen.
